Smoked Tofu
We were wanting to test our barbecue sauce as a marinade on tofu as a smoked food option for our vegetarian friends. Just take a block of your favorite tofu (we used hard), rinse and dry it as you normally would, then cut it into 1 inch slices and soak in barbecue for up to 8 hours. Once you’ve finished waiting, fire up the smoker to 225 degrees and smoke for 45 minutes, flip and smoke another 45 minutes. This could be a smoked meat substitute for any meal and we all thought it was pretty good mixed with roasted brussel sprouts and pepper.
